2016 BONFIRE BURN 10K RUN – SUNDAY 6th NOVEMBER 10.30am
Thank you for entering the sixth Bonfire Burn 10k.
Your runner number with timing chip attached will be available for collection from the clearly signed registration marquee on Histon & Impington Recreation Ground from 8.30am to 10.00 am on the race morning.
The start of the race at 10.30am is just up from the Co-op Pharmacy in Station Road which is about 350m from the Recreation Ground and race helpers will help with direction along the route to the start.
Please do try to arrive in good time, there will be no parking in the Recreation Ground car park itself but there will be sign posted car parking on Vision Park, Histon and we do ask that cars are parked by 9.45pm.
There will be provision to leave baggage in a marquee which will be manned but we must advise this is done entirely at your own risk.
We would appreciate that you take note of the information provided at the start of the race which will include some safety instructions;
- The race route includes the Bridleway along Guided Busway, please run on the left-hand side of the Bridleway to ensure that cyclists using the busway don’t get entangled with runners
- Under no circumstances must any runners run on the Busway track, this could be life endangering and anyone found doing this will be disqualified immediately.
Refreshments and shelter will be available all morning from 9am to 12.30pm on the Rec and the Recreation Ground has a modern redeveloped play area for children of all ages.
Advance Performance will have a stand at the run and the Sports Injury Clinic will provide post race massage
Any event feedback would be welcome by sending an email to Neil@bonfireburn10k.co.uk
We hope to see you at the 2017 Bonfire Burn 10k on Sunday 5th November and earlier perhaps at the 2017 Flaming June Half Marathon on Sunday 4th June.
